Next up is to paint the front dash and also blend in the front of the cage to avoid the glare and also make it disappear when sitting in the drivers seat. You can;t believe the difference this makes

Re: Matt's Mk 2 Grp 2 Zakspeed Replica

After one of your previous posts, I got inspired and saved myself several hundred $'s by opting to do the same on my mk2 gt Cortina dash instead of having it recovered. Thanks! Quick question, is the hydraulic handbrake just plumbed inline with the rear brakes? Is there anything else that needs doing/modifying?

It'll be painted before you know it!

            Hi Mate,

            Thats great. Post a pic

The hydro brake is just plumbed direct into the rear brake line. Very easy

            Cheers

            Matt

Like your approach to the brake plumbing, I used banjo fittings and they are a pain.

I thought of using banjo's. I'm not sure why we went these to be honest

                  It ended up well though

                  Cheers

Re: Matt's Mk 2 Grp 2 Zakspeed Replica

Been a bit slow of late bit still progressing

Picked up some 245/50R15 slicks for the fronts and I'll get some 275/50's for the rear

Next job is the wiring. I've got an EzyWire kit to hopefully make things easier

Got some billet switches made up. I've always wanted a potato button for some stupid reason so here it is. This will be the horn. The panty dropper will be the start button!!

Then we made a switch panel to mount this all on the dash board to the left of the steering wheel

That's enough for now so a drink is in order!
