I'm only going by what I've been told (perhaps I mis-heard) even with about 275bhp it's got near enough 100bhp more than mine.Leave a comment:

Re: Pushrod kings MK1 Escort race car
pretty spot on, early last season there was naff all between the two of you in a straight line, nearing the end of the season there was even less in it, though i believe it was halfway through the season when he put the spare engine in.Leave a comment:

Re: Pushrod kings MK1 Escort race car
judging straight line speeds against mine i would of said it was more like 275bhp. but i do know he has a race and a spare engine the spare being lower poweredLeave a comment:

Plus it works the tyres harder and gets some heat in them. I've watched fwd touring cars pirouette cruising at 25mph just because of cold rear tyres.Leave a comment:

Re: Pushrod kings MK1 Escort race car
that would be my guess, reduce understeer, on a control tyres you dont have many options you cant use a harder compund or narrower tyre, they need some way to reduce rear grip and shed leaods of camber would do it, and probably comes in handy when chucking it hard at kerbsLeave a comment:

Vectras are more neutral with hardly any understeer with the rear camber like that.
