The old arms had a lot of adjustment Paul. With the new setup we've had to shorten/narrow the steering rack by 20mm, and we're running the insert on the strut body that gives the least camber. That lot could go out quite a bit yet if needed......

Just found this on YouTube. Nothing spectacular but you can hear the new flat-shift system working well at times......

          Cheers,

          Paul.

A bit better coverage here guys:

You can definitely hear that the new gearshift setup is working well, and that the car looks pretty stable.....

            Cheers,

            Paul.

I'm afraid not Paul - will justify a GoPro to myself one day I'm sure......

Great to see it out competing and being competitive out the box, shame I missed it but hopfully there will be another time.

You're welcome any time Matt. Hopefully see you soon, will be prepping the car over the next few weeks for a final shakedown outing in October....

Was that 20mm total or 20mm each side ??

I've only taken 10mm off each side, but am now bottomed out again with it just about set up OK. Could really do with taking another 5-10mm of each side to give a little more adjustment. The rack is currently at least 35-40mm into the track rod end......

Re: Paul Alex's character building, pain-in-the-ar5e, bufty money pit

Not much progress to report at the moment, as we finally seem to be in the position we've craved forever - of just having to do minor detail changes before outings

The car has a newer-spec alternator fitted recently after the previous one showed signs of weakness at Snetterton, and I've had the silver wheels painted black. (I still prefer the gold ones tbh).

We do still have a small issue with the heated screen to resolve, and then fingers crossed it should be all systems go for the Dukeries Rally at Donington on October 25th. After that, the plan is still to go and see how far behind the mental Irish cars and drivers we are in Killarney in December.

Before Donington we also have some new sponsor decals to apply

                            More soon

                            Cheers,

                            Paul

I will have to go to Killarney to see you in action this year.
