Hope you have better luck there. I want to get a satchshift fitted and then go do some more testing before caerwent.

Want more power too, after I went off I got back on the road behind a 1300 micra and couldn't catch it even on the back straight!

Not sure about power but the engine is standard so would be about 130-140BHP I suppose.

I'm shocked with how well Micra's go. I have a bog standard 1300 one that I sue for Autotests and even that goes ok.

Satchshift is £250 and since I smashed the original one to bits on Sunday I thought I may as well replace with a nice one.

Hi Rhodri, do you mean the linkage?

If so then yes, not sure when yet though, no satchshift's in stock so need to ring again Monday to find out when one will be available, may need to repair what I've got for Caerwent after all

Yeah the linkages might be able to do something on the 205

Sounds like you had a bit of a mare down pembrey, I'm sure you'll get into it with a some more mileage in the pug under your belt. I fancied a satchshift for mine, they look a fine piece of kit. Good luck for the next event.

                      Thanks Luke, it wasn't great!
Never mind, I love Caerwent so looking forward to that. Quickest I've ever been around there was deffo with your dad!

Satchshift first and then start thinking about some extra power!

The Satchshift has arrived and will hopefully be fitted very shortly. It's a really nicely engineered item and can't wait to get it in the car.

Well, despite saying I wasn't going to buy an engine, the inevitable happened and I've bought an engine!

It has some headwork, Newman cams and AT Throttle Bodies and a rolling road printout from December showing 176bhp and 182 of torque.

I think with that in and the Satchshift fitted she should be much improved for Caerwent!

                            Cheers
