Few little updates, have managed to fit a few more parts, dash is in at last after removing loads of it!
Was going for a subtle wrap around the cage at each end but the vent sections of the dash clashed with the front hoop, dash bar, and all of the forward facing bars at once meaning I ended up removing loads to clear it all. I am going to tidy the ends up a bit more and gt it all flocked, but i actually like the look of the dash being very stripped back beig as i wouldn't use vents etc anyway. I am leaving open the ecu cover area as I like the way it shows the dash bar behind it (no point hiding all of the hard work Graham did!)
Position of the extinguisher, ecu and battery sorted, pretty much as I had them in the 3dr.
Front heated screen and rear poly carb screen test fitted. Amazing how much more complete these parts make it look.
Made up a couple of the dash plates. one houses the oil and ignition light and the other the cutout, boost gauge (plus a couple of switched still to go in). Just the main dash one to do which only holds the rev counter and shift lights..

Got the revcounter fitted today, plate just needs painting, laptimer is attached with velcro for rapid battery changes! This lot was trickier than you might think due to the proximity of the dash bar of the cage.
Matt blacked the small warning lamp plate and fitted a new ignition light..

Looks good David. Like the big indicator (oil pressure light I presume?)
I did a bit of a period Eggenberger reference with mine - couldn't resist basically!
But you're right. Factor in a big dash bar right behind it and things get a lot more fiddly than it should!
All the best

Like that, did think about a red dash but in the end I'm going for Matt black, which along with flocking should contrast nicely with a gloss white interior/cage.
Yes the orange light is a nice big oil pressure warning, with the ignition light below it.

Got a nice scuttle panel from Frank, wasn't going to run one but I think it will actually look neater. Just need to cut a couple of slots for the cut-out pulls

Quick trip to Xsport racing today and I now have all of the panels I needed. Gotta say the quality of the fibreglass and quick turnaround is unbelievable.
Bonnet is skin only to keep weight down, boot has internals to help support the Rouse spoiler and bumper is very light but strong.
Bonnet is mounted on lightweight hinges with rivnuts, so can be removed fast if required. Will fit bonnet pins and line it all up tomorrow
