There was one little car related update. Santa just brought me these;

A pair of cosworth vernier pulleys and a billet cossie crank pulley as the std pinto one doesnt work with the newer style (rounded teeth) cam belt. I also have a std cossie/cvh cam pulley to use as the aux pulley. This will be fitted to the aux shaft that Graham modified before, which has no oil pump or dizzy drives.
Now back to changing nappies...

Been out of the loop for the last week or so due to the arrival of our beautiful little baby Victoria born last Wednesday. She was 8lb 5 and has her Mums nose and my long legs

Don't suppose I'll do too much on the car for a couple of weeks but at least she gives me a good excuse to stay indoors in the warm rather than doing battle with the weather and xmas shopping traffic

Lets hope when she grows up to be a racing driver there will still be enough petrol left in the world for her to drive the cossie

Cheers chaps, that Tony Law manifold looks the nuts. Just depends on budget now, it may be the case that I throw an ashley on it for now and concentrate funds on getting the head right. The ashley one looks ok and I might be able to use the lower piece from my 3 piece pinto one as that had to be modified quite a bit by Gary due to the differences from an escy shell, plus he mad it 2.5" to match up with the system. We'll see ...
Speaking of the system I think I still have the section from manifold to the centre of the car but the rear end and silencers got trashed when they were knocked off so we need to redo all that. Might stick to a single box this time as that seemed ample before and might even check if there is enough clearance for a side exit so it doesn't have to be near any of the suspension or fuel system.
Mind you the stainless system has to come off the car to be sold first, and it is bloody cold in the garage

Good choice staying na Dave. Trust me it's not cheap running a yb turbo race car. The other benefits are that you don't need to mess with the handling too much with that power hike. I've just added an extra 80bhp to mine and the handling has gone to pot!

Now i can watch and learn before i put mine together Just hope Graham does a full write up as you go

I also have a few test bed cosworth heads (One has been massivly ported) so it may come in handy as a guide (where not to remove to much material from etc) for when G starts attacking yours with the dremel

Not exactly neighbours but am sure we could sort something out if you wanted to see it later on in the build

Cheers Paul, tow eye is a TRS item and was about £11 on ebay iirc.

Nick.. not quite, I was tempted as the lovely pinto is sitting there ready to go but a little extra power of 16v will help a lot with the sierra being a bit tubby.

Just need to sell the pinto head, stainless exhaust and intercooler now. Most of the other blingy bits have already gone.

Just caught up with the latest changes Dave - lovely prep as always!

Where did the soft towing eye come from, is it one of the off-the-shelf OMP ones?
