Just getting settled thanks, this has appeared in my garage this week though...

Thanks to Andy and John Pipe, was quite a road trip down to flooded somerset to collect it! I have already transferred the front suspension and brakes from the 3 door and I am going to start assembling a new beam for it over the next week so that its a fully rolling shell. Once its fully stripped and cleaned engine and box will go in, then its off to have a cage, seat mounts and any other welding required, then paint.... Sounds easy

Strip down almost done, just engine and box to lift out then drop off suspension.
I am now reshelling the car as the changes I need to make will be easier with a std shell, such as a completely different cage etc. Once I've moved after Xmas the new build will start in my new garage and hopefully I should have a rolling shell ready for cage etc within another month or so..

Good to hear there will be a few upgrades with the rebuild and your moving forward with the car , as was sure Gary would be wanting to add a few tricks along the way

Waiting for Gary to find me a space to do a few upgrades to mine and already dreaming about the new bits would like done

Ian, yes I would like to make a few upgrades during the rebuild, a few of the issues I always wanted to sort include getting a proper weld in cage, decent seat mounts and moving the fuel tank into the boot. I expect a few more to end up happening but we'll see how time and budget go Have already started the strip down ready to start again

Such a shame this happened, I see this prior, during and after to the crash on the day and it was stunning!

But onwards and upwards with it!

As Gary going to be helping out with the repairs does that mean a few upgrades at the same time or you limited to what your allowed due to the series you race in ?

Strut brace did bend a bit but it was the rad crossmember that took the impact across to the n/s chassis rail. As you can see end of the o/s chassis rail was the point of impact and the whole lot got pushed over 2"+ bending the n/s wing badly that hadn't even touched anything!
Ah and I don't need airjacks, I've got Gary..

True, hard to tell if the rear of the car is bad, front looks worse than it did at brands now its all stripped. At least I have a whole new rear end to use anyway
