Thanks to having an old T3 turbo that I've borrowed off of a good friend i have been able to mount both the downpipe and the exhaust system to the car. It all fitted as it should with a new poly mount on the rear and in the centre I have made two hangers which attach to the system with a diamond shaped poly bush on either side of the floor.
It is all really nice and solid now but I may still make up a couple of check straps which will hang loosely around the system in case anything tries to rip it off





Also got my sump back from Doug at SFS who are a TS sponsor and if you haven't seen one of his before it is a real nice piece of kit Hopefully along with a good breather system this should be the next best thing to having a dry sump set up and the plumbing will be nice and neat

i cant see any of it as all i get is siggy pictures over most pictures posted on here lol


edited i can now pmsl,why you used them on the airfilter dave,would normal clips not been ok on there m8?those mikolar clips work best on the boost hoses dont they?looks nice tho

Yep, true Piggy. The airbox probably needs no clamp at all, but as i had one I'm using it. Better safe than sorry

Just need to find out if I need to take the dump valve apart to see which one it is or maybe either would be ok on my car

Latest additions are a set of black sfs boost hoses to match the coolant ones, complete with mikalor clamps, a nice inline oil filter for the turbo (also thanks to Mr Bahr) and a bailey dump valve.
The Bailey DV is off a 200sx so might be a twin piston DV26 rather than a DV24 so not sure if it will make a difference. The DV26 is for airflow meter cars. Is there anyway of telling which it is??

I also fitted a 3bar map sensor to an alloy plate under the strut brace but you cant quite see it in the pic

If possible. The aim is to run it on some test sessions this year and any races that are left. It needs to be properly sorted and going well for the start of next season basically.

Just need to find an old dead T34 turbo that someone can lend me to hang the exhaust on and get the plumbing in place.

Also this week i got the car out in the sun and managed to clean it up a bit. As it was nice and warm I took the opportunity to remove the decals that needed to come off that had proved a bit stubborn earlier in the year.
I have tried to get the bodywork to be white, black and orange only, and have removed as many of the other colours as possible andI think the car looks better for it. I have removed the 38's aswell ready for my new numbers to go on (83,as Andy wanted his 38 back )





I got all of the inner wheel arches repainted white, and even managed to find another few kilos I could remove from the car.

On the bonnet I have now fitted a vent above the turbo and down pipe so hopefully this will allow some heat out. I may still add something else on that side of the bonnet as I want to keep the temps in the bay as low as possible.

Have been making gradual progress lately. Got a few parts fitted in the engine bay. The plumbing for the oil cooler is all done and the alternator is back on. Boost hoses are on the way.



I've modified the cam cover which not only saves a bit of weight but also allows me to run my current plug leads and coil pack. I then repainted it in high temp silver so it would look a bit neater.



I had also been looking for an escos airbox to buy as I have been concerned that the std sierra one doesn't even have big enough outlet to match a T34 so might be a bit restrictive. After several passed on ebay at silly prices I'd given up and then today whilst tidying the garage I spotted something i didn't recognise and there it was, a mint escos airbox, that I didn't even know about. I can only assume that it came with the sierra and got launched onto the rafters in the garage but I don't remember.
So happy days, got it cleaned up, fitted it in the car where all of the holes lined up and it even had a good K+N inside it Just need to make a couple of holes now for the extra ducting.

unless you can rig sum um sockets up with a threadad bar maybe you could push it out that way or if you could ask a ford specialist nicely you might be able to borrow the proper tool(if you stick them a beer im sure the head techy would lend you it)if not i reckon the only way is to carry on as u are

Well car is back on the ground now and even ventured outside into the sunshine today. Those bushes wouldn't pull out using studding or any of the obvious methods. In situ they need to be cut out or if you can get the arms off I'd simply stick them in a hydraulic press and let a couple of hundred tonnes sort it out. I have one side sorted now and the other will be pretty quick to do once I turn the car round.

Next up is to fit some nice rose jointed drop links for the rear anti roll bar and get some new bushes on it.
