More progress this week. After having had a twin plate AP clutch so kindly donated to the cause by Graham I bought a new pair of plates from burtons and assembled everything ready to go on.
Everything went together nicely to with some new bolts and a type 9 input shaft I got everything fitted to the engine.
I have a good race release bearing, new modified cable so hopefully thats the clutch sorted
Also replaced knackered gearbox mount with a vibra technics one. Hopefully gearbox is all ready too
got hold of another 3 door rear beam. The arms etc should be useful as spares but the beam itself is supposedly modified by graham hathaway with most of the holes moved for better geometry. Time will tell but i wont swap the beam until the diff comes out for a new ratio later in the year.
that beam is my spec and modified for me on graham hatherways. I would swop it straight away the difference it make is quite a bit david it will help with wheel spin ,tramping when coming out of corners and the hadling is brilliant ,just a little tip its worth swopping
After a couple of days of tinkering the YB now looks like this.
Virtually everything is bolted in apart from the alternator and exhaust. Will bolt turbo on once its all in the car
Now has all new breathers, G19 plenum, 'dizzyless' dizzy, turbo oil feed, new dipstick, alternator drop bracket, turbo damper etc..
Next step is to drop it in and get the plumbing finished off
Collected in the week, ready to bolt some goodies on...
Massive thanks to Graham for getting it all done and to such a high standard. He's had a lot on his plate lately but he's really put some hours into Linford Jnr
Andys should be there, just one more part coming this week. Mine will be done as soon as we can get it running and mapped. Yours should be out there soon no?

Looking good Dave ,wont be long now ,someone from TS needs to get out in the QMN for us to cheer on

Have stripped out the engine bay ready for the new YB which shouldn't be too long now. Have got several new ancillaries for the engine and only really need to make a heat shield now and apply some heat matting to the bay.
