Another thing crossed off the list, end of spending is in sight now. Great day out and the instructors were brilliant, but looking forward to getting back in my own escort.

1st outing for a while in the escort yesterday - rallyday with some track time booked in. 1st track slot was 9.20 and the car was broken by 9.30
The culprit was a rocker cover gasket that completely let go above the hot exhaust manifold, instant smoke everywhere so I suppose I was quite lucky that I could knock it off before I lost a shed load of oil.
I made a few changes to the car beforehand which included lowering the ride height and swapping the 180lbs to 225lbs on the front and it made a big difference to the way the car felt for the better.

Glad you got a good run in to test back to back the suspension set ups. Small improvements towards a better car can't be bad.

Feels like it's getting there now john, could really do with some more power but that will have to wait. Yours was looking good on track, kinda odd seeing it without the straight cut whine.

Rallyday track session with smoke screen to finish. The rattling sound is my gopro case as it wasn't shut properly.

Car going well Luke. I thought that little red car was going to take you out on the chicane.

Yes I had it all straightened out and painted by 2 weeks later. Cost me nearly £300. The bush has gone in the rack so bought a bronze bush from motorsport tools on ebay. 3 weeks later and it still hasn't turned up. Bloody useless company. I stripped it off ready to fit the new one so had to borrow my brothers mx5 to do the last motorkhana. Came 3rd in class even though I didn't fit I it.

Could you do me a favour
Do you have a picture of your belts around the harness bar and what angle they go to your seats

Sorry only just seen this, I'll pop into the garage tomorrow and take a pic for you. Thinking about hand device legalities are you?

Yours is Jon because the harness bar is high up
The cage I want has the harness bar at the bottom of the cross like lukes
