Well big thanks to Nick im not sure how i didnt think about a bent stub ,but it was a long day ,i happened to have a spare stashed away have changed it and i now have toe in .You can see that the old stub is bent now i have removed it but when i changed it between beams i left the drums intact so didnt actually see the stub in my defence
So i now have to borrow the camber gauges set that and probably change the rear bearing as its a bit noisy then it should be all systems go for Brands

Cheers for the offer Gary but i think Nick has hit the nail on the head it is the same stub axle and going by the camber and toe readings its exactly the same direction as the bent beam so i think the stub must be slightly out
Pm me your new number please Gary as when you are feeling better i need my fuel tank boxing in .

Did you use the stubs off of the axle that was bent? A porta-power and rachet straps work wonders for getting beams straight ;-)

Well i have just spent all evening trying to sort the rear geometory on the car its not good news the rear beam is not that true it seems we have too much camber on 1 side that we cant dial out and we also have very slight toe out , not ideal so i will have to sort another rear beam .I have decided to put an entry in for the weekend but am not expecting too much which is a shame as i have new tyres and it would have been an ideal opportunity to find the difference in lap times between old and new tyres. It seems the wheel bearing didnt appreciate getting hit as that is rumbling now so will need replacing ,which shouldnt be a problem. With a bit of luck i should still be quick enough to play with Andy and Nick but time will tell

    Re: my new nova

Well the car is getting there now ,i have painted the rear beam and fitted that just need to sort the camber and toe and bleed the rear brakes ,and i have spent most of yesterday trying to repair the side skirts ,luckily a builder i do some work for does fibreglass flat roofs so had some mat and resin etc so i pieced what was left back together and fibreglassed the back so it was in 1 bit then spent a while filling the repairs ,its not the best job but will do , i also filled the skirts with expanding foam hoping if it happens again it might help hold the skirt together,so all i need to do is paint it when i get some paint.
I need to look at the drivetrain as it was making a knocking sound ,i hope its just the driveshaft ,wait for the wheel section then i should be good to go

Get yourself signed up Frank, QMN is a friendly bunch of racers, prices are reasonable and you get two races. I'll be out later on and Andys escort is virtually ready, theres Graham, Pushrod, Lee and Jezz, so as Jezza says we can have a good old TS tear up And keep your race reports coming..
