    wheels look good

Im sure it will take a while to set up to your liking but once its sorted it will be rapid if you get a chance go and watch the sillouettes they are excellent to watch and take no prisoners i can vouch for that first hand

Its a bit difficult to fit a cover with the trigger wheel and dry sump pulley but something that i will attempt in the near future as for rear tyres i think its just a case of going a bit quicker than i used to and the rear just struggling, but plans are afoot to address this so hopefully be a little quicker next time

I love it's low wide stance though.

I watched quaifying from druids and it did look a little twitchy on the rear at times.

I'm not really an expert but would dropping rear pressures allow the tire to move a litte more and generate some more heat in them?

    Re: my new nova

Well another highs and lows day for me at Brands yesterday ,the Qmn were on track with the intermarque series which consist of some very quick spaceframe machines like the shp mk1 escort, not having raced for 18months i was a bit nervous going to qualifying what with all these quick cars, but as soon as we got on track the nerves soon dissapeared,i was lucky that i got out early in quali and started to push quite soon its 1 of my failings im like a kid in a sweet shop as soon as i get on track (this normally results in me spinning on cold tyres) but it paid dividends today as after only 4 laps a bmw gt race car had a very expensive moment on the back straight which resulted in red flags session stopped. As luck would have it i had managed to squeeze in a high 54 sec lap which resulted in me qualifying in 11th overall but first in my series .So to the race and i really was bricking it now as i was right in the middle of some very fast cars and had the likes of Malcolm wise,s escort cosworth and the very fast Gavin Thomson in his 205 behind me .We did the installation lap and i was on the outside of the grid so as soon as the green lights went out i had a few cars come past on the inside into paddock and i still couldnt get to the inside to try to protect my position on the run upto druids so a couple more got past ,but this was no more than i expected after that i managed to get into a rythm and was holding my own.It was a pretty quiet race for most of it i could see Bill Richards in my mirrors who is in the qmn so thought i may be in for a battle to try to keep him behind but i could see his pit boards down the straight and he was 15secs ahead of his class runners so didnt need to battle me so he backed off,i then went into fuel conservation mode as i wasnt sure my tank was big enough.other than getting lapped by the 2 front runners (one either side in a nova sandwich )battling for the lead at Druids the rest of the race was uneventfull.I had managed to finish 17th overall and 3rd in the Qmn and had managed to win my class .Most importantly and the goal i had set for myself was to improve my lap time which i did I had managed to do a 54.2 so was happy with that. That was the high, now the low, race 2 ,starting 17th on the inside of the grid but with Bill richards on the outside and the other class d car behind me ,i got away from the rolling start pretty well and held my position to Druids where Bill was later on the brakes and was level with me on the outside i went in a bit quicker than i should have on cold tyres trying to fend Bill off as i knew if he held the outside i would have had to yeild into Graham hill but just ended up spinning at Druids ,so the whole field flew past so i rejoined with a bit of redmist and set off trying to catch up ,the car had been a bit lively on the back all day and i should have known better but being the Amatuer i am i pushed really hard a car had blown up putting fluids down going into surtees and i nearly went off on that but got away with it then going into Paddock on of the Silhouettes came past and i tried to follow him into Paddock ,big mistake the back just came round ,i tried to catch it but no joy so there i was flying backwards into the kitty litter, day over .
So all in i guess it was a good day i am hoping it had stalled before i hit the gravel and that as i went in backwards that the gravel hasnt lifted the timing belt and damaged the engine ,i have got to sort the loose rear end but think there might be a 53 sec lap in it if i can which should be good enough to challenge for the class if i can keep it on the black stuff
