Hi nelly , Jezz is away for a bit so thought I'd reply
went out to qualify but had no 5 th gear so to qualify 2nd was brilliant
race1 Again no 5 th gear and thought he had buzzed the engine on the straight as it felt strange so retired
race2. Started in 19th place and soon made up ground and was harassing bill in the mini but just couldn't get passed him with no 5 th gear and now fuel starvation problems , followed bill into surtees tucked in close and a slower car turned in from the right to take the line and hit the front of the nova causing a spin and ripping the front splitter and most of the bumper off . Jezz recovered and managed to finish and take 2 nd in class . The car came home a bit worse for wear but he'll be back soon

I did get past Bill @ Druids ,but as I couldn't get 5 th I was holding it at 8400 in 4 th ,he drove straight past me on the straight to take the place back ,I had fuel problems all day which we think was the regulator as we changed the pump and still the same ,removed the reg for race 2 and it was ok ,I only got 2 nd as Dale was having issues ,felt good up alongside Rod though

Think we can put a secondary brace just along from the shifter , hopefully should reduce the travel

Yes the gear linkage is a constant pain, think the problem is the linkage pole is flexing under high rev as it changes easy at 6000 rpm but anything above just won't have it .

Thats a shame mate, he's clearly got some stonking pace. Hasnt he had some trouble with the gear linkage before?

Congratulations on your front row qualifying at the weekend Jezz, thats pretty impressive against some powerful cars out there. What happened in the race though, it sounds like you got caught up in a bit of an incident?

Yes mate we can go to 1800 and well over ,thinking if we could get one to nearly 2 litre that would be good

Jezz likes the gravel trap there Neil, so it really is a confidence corner for him I brake, change down and turn in at the exit on the left. I never used think I braked much when I had the Princess 4 pots but since I've had decent brakes on my car I brake harder and later than before.

I have got a 100 % finish record This season
