    Me too.

Tis all fettled now. Modified the knuckle to allow the suspension arm to sit closer, and shortened the bottom pin to give clearance for the disk.

Re: Grahamb's Mk1 Fiesta XR2 Duratec HE Hillclimber

Fitted the passenger side front suspension last night, same modifications as per the drivers side. Shortened the pin by 15mm and used 10mm collar above the bearing to give clearance to the disk brake.

There's around 3mm clearance between the disk and the bottom pin nut, which is more than enough.

I've also used high strength loctite to hold the pin in the knuckle joint. This will ensure that the pin cannot drop or move in any way.

The car now has way too much -ve camber, but Northampton Motorsport will set the chassis up, and the ECU, so its going to have to stay with them for a couple of days I'm sure.

Just a thought Graham, but for total peace of mind maybe it's worth considering wire locking those nuts on the bottom joints, even though they look like they're lock nuts, it's not something you'd like falling off I'm sure!!

You should be working for M Sport or similar , with the attention to detail you have .

I got the header off ebay. Its for the Golf Mk4 onwards IIRC.

Never lock wired anything before. Do I just drill a hole in the bolt then? Is it special wire I need to use?

Yeah pretty much Graham, just drill a small diameter hole (about 2mm or so) through the lot and wire lock it. Yes you have to get proper locking wire to do it, not sure where to get it from, I'll have to ask Matt where he got his from to do his car with.

EDIT: Merlin do it, but I'm sure you could probably find it cheaper elsewhere.... http://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/pr...edium=Shopping

Fitted the Titans on permanently tonight. I've put silicone compound on the face of the TB's where they mate to the cylinder head, to avoid any air-leaks, and to hold the o-rings in place whilst being fitted.

Excellent! . Off topic a bit , but the IB5 box , do you know if they're all the same , aside from the bellhousings? I've to use a puma bellhousing to mate my KA box to the 1.4 Sigma lump .

Sorry no idea on the IB5's. CTS or Burtons may be able to help (or someone else off here)

Fitted the rad and the trumpets last night. I really really need to get the driveshaft ordered (3 week lead time) so I'll get the output cup removed from the box this evening.

                            Thanks Adam

Wired the twin Spal cooling fans today, and connected up to the engine bay power loom, and they test out OK. (I have an override switch in the car so I can turn them on at will)

I've removed the trumpets and filters, as I reckon they'll get in the way when I have the hoses fitted.

I've bolted in the engine bay bulkhead connector finally, using M3 dome head socket screws. The engine bay loom is now fitted, and everything is plugged in. The dashboard temp display now shows the right temperature.

The Spal fans drawing air through the radiator.

The Tyco connector for the radiator fan.

Engine bay loom fitted and everything plugged in.

Working on the two ecu connectors today. Crimped 25 pins, with 18 to go.
Posted the bits off to commercial propshaft services for them to make the new driveshaft.
