Re: Pushrod kings MK1 Escort race car
Think I've finally got to the bottom of the fuel starvation problems.... I cut the fuel tank open to remove the foam and relocate the pick up only to find that A: the existing pickup is about 10mm from the bottom of the tank,B: it's right above a pressed swage that's approx 3-4mm high. C:it had been fitted after the foam and where it had been welded the foam had melted a stuck to the bottom of the tank around the end of the pick up!
The tank is with my alloy fabricator who is repositioning the pick up so that it runs along the bottom of the tank and collects fuel from the area where it's most likely to be when cornering and accelerating. Fingers crossed it works

one of those should cure the problem!think the foam melting around the end would be the biggest issue! hope the whole thing gets sorted for you now

as I was driving along the M25!! Managed to get to the services at Clacket Lane and clean myself up and drunk a bottle of water which I then threw up again
I've been in bed for most of the day and have still got to unload the car off of the trailer.
