Re: Grahamb's Mk1 Fiesta XR2 Duratec HE Hillclimber
Anyway, back to more important things.
The Geartronics gear display has turned up, albeit with a rather short harness, probably intended for RWD boxes, not FWD.

Needs a +12V supply, and the pot fixes on the box, and feeds the gear position back to the display unit.
The wiper motor intermittent relay also turned up from VWP, and has a rather odd wiring schematic, so I'm going to have to try to fathom out how to connect it in.
Does a intermittent relay normally double up as a standard relay, or do I need two relays?
ie one to signal for a continous wipe, and the other to switch the wipers on/off every 5s. I know the wiper motor needs a permanent +12V so it returns the wiper to the parking position, and thats fed to the motor through a fuse. The 'signal' wire to the motor then triggers it to wipe, and the permanent feed ensures that the wiper runs and returns to the park position.
