No noodles yet mate, but plenty Tsing Tao's Still mulling over that quote mate but, regardless of supplier, it'll be going flappy I'm sure. Am coming round to the idea of saving more weight and ditching the gearlever. That'll confuse people

The Irish Regs aren't very specific on this point, but it is mentioned a couple of times in their Yearbook

e.g.
Wheels must not extend beyond the periphery of the bodywork on Saloons all events.

and
The wheels are free, respecting the homologated diameter (article 801.a), and the homologated width (article 801.b) for Group N which is considered as a maximum and as per FIA Appendix J for Group A

Then the FIA Appendix J Group A regs state
In no case may the width of the rim-tyre assembly in relation to the cubic capacity of the car, exceed the following:
In rallies:
...
over 1600 cm3 and up to 2000 cm3: 9"
over 2000 cm3 and up to 2500 cm3: 9"
...

So whether this applies to the Modified Classes I'm not sure!

I'll have a look what everyone is running next time I'm over there

Thanks Gavin - I've been reading those same docs online this week...

Everyone prep firm or driver that I've asked has said that they run 9's over there, but I'd hate to get an OK result out there and then be kicked out. I'll maybe take a much closer look next time i'm over there before I spend £££'s on rims that could be illegal....

.....although I gues they'd still look mean at Scrutineering

Managed to get a session on the car last night, and am glad to report that its still moving in the right direction

The new fuel tank mount is finished, saving a few Kg's and also leaving a good deal more clearance underneath. Gary has then gone on to modify the lower rear panel and added a nice return/edge - so it almost looks like it should have been that way from the factory

We then spent the rest of the evening mocking up the new front spoiler and arches. They're all millimetre perfect now, but just at the point of final fitment the rivet gun sh*t itself - so they're not secured properly just yet....

The obligatory kebab was the icing on the cake

Weather and workload permitting, the car will be at Shauns in a couple of weeks time - and then home for reassembly during March....
