Re: My MK2 Rally car
Well, big update this week. I trailered the car down to Plymouth to see John, who live mapped it with Sandy Brown, and made a few little tweaks here and there.
So we are nearly good to go, just going to set the tracking tomorrow (any suggestions on settings gratefully received!), fit the sump guard, get the handhelds back and fit the camera.
It doesn't sound such a big update when written like that, and nor do i have any photosso all in all a rubbish update! But i do feel good about it all.

Re: My MK2 Rally car
Thanks guys. Not my favourite conditions so didn't really get to use the engine and its straight line potential! It was incredibly slippery all day, worse than last year.
Just loading up a video, but once again the sound hasn't come out which is really annoying! So its pretty boring but will give an idea of the conditions.
Stage one i went out on cut 22's on the front and some really worn rears. Came back in and promptly swapped them for a new set of 22's cut into an inter. This was quite an improvement but still couldn't get the power down without short shifting.
I had a few moments, one where i slide off on the 45 left into the water splash and into possibly the boggiest bit of the venue!I managed to catch all but two of the tail out moments, but even on the straights it was twitching which was not good for my confidence.
All in all not a bad event considering the conditions. I didn't look at the results all day, but looking at them now i dropped down to 37th O/A and then worked my way back up to 23rd - which is where we started! My aim is to not go backwards in my seeding, so i achieved that.
Spent hours washing all the crap out, off and in the car today so she's nice and clean again.
I will upload some pics that we took in service in a bit.Comment
