Hi Paul - not too bad, got the following done so far:

          Clutch fitted
          Gearbox in
          Prop-shaft back on
          Exhaust manifold on
          Exhaust on
Gear lever back in (after we eventually found it! )
Plumbed in system mounted (much nicer fit than old one )
          Dry sump tank adapters fitted
          Oil lines re-fitted through car
New clutch feed and bleed lines made

Also got the oil tank breather dropped off at CAM auto to be swaged - so should be here next week.

Started looking at the wiring that I have to do but scared myself Anyone know a decent auto electrician?!?

Have found a home for my old handhelds, but if anyone needs a 2.25kg Lifeline Zero 360 plumbed-in electrical system, drop me a line. Am also ready to sell at least one of my Corbeau Pro Series seats in Kevlar/carbon....

          Cheers,

          Paul

The wrong one I'm afraid Richard - one of my seats is out of date now, so need a new one before Monteberg (presuming it's running by then obviously)

              Paul.

I think you'll find that you won't need a new one for Monteberg.

                VAS rules state 10 years.

I shall be there with an out of date pro-series.

I've checked with Angelo and it was fine for Moorslede, I'll double check for Monteberg too.

                You could be in luck.

Not much progress recently as I've been overseas again, but had the car at its spritual home in Essex this afternoon to make the new radiator fit. This basically involved Gary using bigger and bigger hammers on the car while I pretended to do others things to save me watching.....

Got home to find that the special Saturday delivery promised by Demon Theives hadn't arrived - so plans for having car started next weekend now look doubtful Now I know why I only use them as a last resort......

                        More updates tomorrow hopefully...

Good to hear a bit more progress Paul , and if it involes Gary and a hammer and reshaping a bit of metal its got to be progress in the right direction

Re: Paul Alex's character building, pain-in-the-ar5e, bufty money pit

Cheers guys. I couldn't do what I really needed to do today because of some parts not arriving, but we did manage to keep progress heading in the right direction...

Made carbon fibre bracket for fuel pressure regulator
Connected ECU power and earth points
Mounted electric water pump heat sink
                                Fitted radiator and top/bottom hoses
                                Added radiator bleed pipe
Fitted fuel tank sight gauge protector
Fitted dry sump catch-tank and overflow hoses
                                Began tidying wiring loom

It now has oil and water in it - and no puddles on the floor (yet!)

A couple of pics, first up the funky sight gauge protector........I need it for Belgium events but can't believe that you don't see more on other cars

And a shot of the nearly complete engine bay showing the new big header radiator. It might be the first clear shot of the removable front panel too....

I've now got to do a few evenings or take day off to get the car ready for the first engine startup - but not giving up on doing the event in Belgium yet, despite the fact that it'll be over this time in two weeks time!!

                                More soon,

                                Paul
