Re: David White's - Mk2 Escort - Cosworth V6 Turbo
The only downside with these brakes is that 15's will no longer fit on the car.
The smallest wheel that will clear is a group A spec 16" (or split rim) so I am on the look out for a set of 16" or 17" wheels as wide as poss, that I can use for wets and transportation. Group A cossie etc.. popcorn:

have you had to modify the intercoolers much/at all?
If I can they are being used virtually standard as they will be the first things damaged in a front end knock, that way I can keep 1 or 2 spares in stock

Re: David White's - Mk2 Escort - Cosworth V6 Turbo
cant you machine the diameter of the disk down a bit and move the caliper in to make the 15 go over or is it a lot more space required?

Re: David White's - Mk2 Escort - Cosworth V6 Turbo
why so big dave? i can out brake lighter and slower cars on circuit with mere 300mm discs, its not the disc size thats important its the pad material and what you do with it
having said that i might of gone bigger, but couldn't face the prospect of having to buy 12 more wheels and tyres when there wasn't anything wrong with the ones i already had
Re: David White's - Mk2 Escort - Cosworth V6 Turbo
Its that old trade off thing.. those brakes fit under one set of wheels, and the others he has sold for what he will be able to get another set that are 16"s .... so with the brakes being cheap... they just had to go on
Re: David White's - Mk2 Escort - Cosworth V6 Turbo
thats ok then, anyway the bigger brakes will just slow his lap times and as im looking forward to getting the better of a few more class A cars next year it will just help in my quest.....
just got to find some time to make the proposed engine changes, looking for the full 500bhp for next season
