    Like this you mean;

    It would be nice, and not that difficult either (for Gary ) but I've gotta be careful of the regs in the championship. If they ban spaceframes then I'm screwed so by keeping the inner wings it is still essentially a monocoque escort shell.

      wise move david, once you go space frame you very much cut down on where you can race it,

      as far as dtrc goes forced induction may be illegal for spaceframed cars for 2007

        Without getting too political or naming particular cars, why are the N/A spaceframes legal, but not with turbos or sc's. Not a moan btw, just wondered

            ok heres the synario,

            take one 400kg spaceframed hot rod add 500bhp+ yb power you've got a car that would render every other car uncompetitive

              We will go semi*-spaceframed when Dave stuffs the front end into the tyres

              Note.. semi- spaceframed, original chassis rails will remain. And the rear suspension pickups will not be directly mounted to the cage/frame

              I like rules

                basically we are making a pre-emptive strike to stop something like that being built, its getting harder all the time to rewrite the regs around cars already competing, and in any case its a saloon car championship we dont want it full of jelly moulds, other wise understandably the normal tin top drivers will start complaining.

                ..............start complaining????!!!!!...........

                  Makes sense Graham TBH I'm suprised that 'jelly mould' spaceframes are allowed full stop, they never started as a saloon car merely a bathtub and some scaffolding
                  All cars should have to prove they once had 4 seats
                  Mind you theres the trigger's broom arguement and they can just say they the changed the chassis... and then the changed the bodywork, but there was a std car there at the beginning.... once

                        Keep the Crazy Frog! It suits the car! Zip tie it in one of the rear guards vents!

                          Got a nice bag of goodies for the car the other day including this beautiful intercooler and loads of samcos off of a mate whos breaking a twin turbo sierra xr4x4;

                          We cut out the origional radiator surround to get the intercooler sat in and after a bit of a play with the pipes its all plumbed in bar the second dump valve t-piece and an adapter to do on the throttle body

                            We cut out the air intake that was used on the zetec install and I tidied up the front panel. Just need to make some ally blanking plates to go either side of the cooler

                            Oh and finally couldn't resist making a few extra holes just to give as much airflow to the cooler as possible

                            All in all not a bad days work methinks Cheers to the Andy and Alex for their assistance
