Pressed on with a bit more cutting today in preparation for a bit of fabrication from Gary. I've now cut the entire boot floor between the chassis rails, the damper x-member, firewall and a load of strengthening Gary had welded in to stop the whole lot flexing around.

Looks fairly neat now and i've cleaned up all the edges alot better since taking the pics;





In the meantime Andy carried on with the wiring and completed the Dash and switch box. All looking very smart now and the black ally bracket on the tunnel is what I've made to fit the driver's two pull cables (not riv-nutted down yet).





Oh and Andy did a couple of laps of the Brands Indy circuit to check all of the gauges and lights were working on the dash




Thanks to the Pipes for all of there help and hopspitality this week, can't believe how much we've got done

Mad, yes. It's worth it though just to see the look on the painter's face when I take it back and say 'it looks like some more of your paint has fallen off, can you fix it?'

awesome looking car dave, a hate to think how much it's cost you so far, all credit to you and the boys for having the vison to create a monster of an escort ,it looks too good to race but the buzz your get went lining up on the grid for it's first race will fantastic ,now hurry up and get finished so we can swamp the grids old escorts
