I bought it from the apotechary/pharmacy. 200g per every 10 liters of water gives a nice 2% solution. Not the fastest cleaning but does a top job on iron parts.

Lovely attention to details!
Have you tried dipping these bits and bobs to citric acid? Saves a lot of elbowgrease and does far better job on de-rusting than wire brush ever can.

I bet it does, but I havent got the space to leave it as its not my workshop, I'm taking up enough room as it is!

Front subframe stripped and painted

All panels are now sprayed, picked up my rear bumper, front grill and the two doors earlier.



Got some bits from Ford, some new wheel nuts, front wheel bearing, set of gearbox to engine bolts, set of leads, plugs and a new coilpack.



Also got some new focus rear discs



and pads



Refitted polybushes into rear beam



Assembled hubs onto beam







Painted some more brackets



Also fitted all the aero catches, refitted the rear screen and hung the doors to check paint lines between the panels match.

Hi I just read through this thread, Awesome work, Lots of 3D Auto CAD going on,

I did Motorsport Engineering at Swansea, Graduated back in 04, and not used Auto CAD since..

Do you know what the paint code is for Ford Frozen White?? Im going to be doin my car soon in this colour.

Not sure yet, Combe Saloon series is the main concern again, first race is April 5th. Must check other series dates to see what is availiable, Brands and Oulton are top of the wish list though.

Had a nice parcel from Compbrake today, my topmounts and front disc bells I designed.







Well chuffed with them, best go see if they fit now!


AP discs have turned up at Tweeks finally, so should get them in the next few days too.

I certainly dont want to add it all up or I will cry! Ive kept the cost down by doing as much as I can myself, but its still a hell of alot of money just in parts.
