Hi,just started looking at this thread and i remember this car when it was a road rally car.My mate had it for a while for a few night events and a few stages.My mate was from Ammanford and he was going to build it in to a grp 4 but sold it on then.
Glad to see that progress is being made again - and am loving the RetroMotorsport diff tunnel, boxes and brace

Does anyone know if i can block off the oil breather from the cam cover? its dry sumped and the tank in the boot has a breather, into a catch tank. I basically want to get rid of the aluminium tank in the drivers inner, inner wing!

I've not tried them Paul, just for show at the moment! They are the ones from Mark Sollaway. Very nice units. I hope they are good. Think from memory they have 4300K coloured lamps in them.
Eventually i am aiming to convert the cibies i have to HID versions so they match.
As Paul says, where did you get those headlights? I also need a new pair, Cearwent took it's toll on mine.
According to Shaun, its titanium! Thanks though I've got a satin finish opposed to gloss.
The headlights are from Historic Rallying, not cheap but i liked them and they came as a complete kit. I was having a bit of a nightmare getting the old ones to fit without wobbling. They were slightly bodged!
I think Grp4 fabrications sell crystal ones which are a lot cheaper. They might be worth a look first?
I've seen Torstens lights and they look good. Are your a glass or plastic lens/front clear bit? I'd hate to fork out on a pair of Mark Solloways and crack them 1st event.

The crankcase *should* be under vacuum at high revs (it should always scavenge more oil than it should pump back in), so you can just fit an air filter on the breather to stop it sucking in any shit.
