          Thanks for your feed back

            Re: My MK2 Rally car

Well i spoke to Torsten and he sorted me out with the tension strut high angle spacers, and whilst i was on the phone i bought some perspex sliders to fit at a later date! Thanks Torsten.

Spent this weekend sorting out the new steering rack, fitted some helper springs to the struts, and basically spent a few hours trying to square everything up as best i can while its up in the air and work out whats pointing in what direction. Also now have full lock both ways, which will help with left hand corners!!

You can see the new helper springs, harder coil over springs, new steering rack, steering arms and antiroll bar with drop links .

With all these little things that "we" (the Abingdon service boys and James!) have found to be wrong, i'm getting quite excited at the ideal of it handling so much better that i might actually stand a good chance of top 10 finishes at single venues (if i pick my events carefully )

Also made a little bracket up for the gear indicator - not a bad effort for a hacksaw and a file

Looking good Paul - whats the latest with the engine? Any events in mind?

              Cheers,

                Thanks Paul.

Ummm how can i put this diplomatically - still not ready

Apparently we are just waiting for the dry sump kit and then it can be dyno'd - so its annoyingly close

Bovington is a possibility but i have decided that i definitely want to go back to Down Ampney for the Get it Sideways stages. Be a good one to go back and compare the handling on the same stages, and the times as well .

                  Looking good Paul,
Put me down for service crew at Down Ampney?
As for engine's there seemed to be a few people unhappy in the service area, think he has stretched himself a bit to far? think you need to to start nagging a lot to get to the top of the list, I know that in most businesses the person on the phone chasing the most is normally the first person to get the goods, I know you should not have to but might be the solution?
                  Cheers,
                  James

                                Aiming for next weekend.

Just need to order some braided hose adaptors for the new fuel rail and oil pump. Trying to decide as to whether i need to shell out the extra for Goodridge fittings, or use the APS ones from JCC - whats your thoughts Paul?
