My version of a heart rate/ blood pressure monitor. High readings equal high blood pressure. Low readings will cause the pulse to rise. The more I utilize this the more likely I am to burn off more petrol

      Just one of those days.

Early start to do the wheel alignement, install a launch controll button and the laptimer and vóila bring on the 2012. But ended up taking the gearbox out due to a pretty big leak. I found this...

What the fcuk is that? I've got nothing. Will try and reach the good folks at Tran X to what I'm dealing with. Heres some footage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2hl0...ature=youtu.be

Now I wish this pot/gutter/ditch , in the bottom of the tank would double as a surge pot. Does it?
I'd love to leave the surge pot off with the two transfer pumps and use only one high pressure pump? Opinions and experiences will be greatly appreciated!

        Cheers

        sorry for the long pabble
Yes, route the return to the bottom of the sump, and you shouldn't have any problems. I tested mine on Saturday and it worked perfectly. No need for a swirl pot either.

Tell me about it. Sad news. I noticed the same thing saturday when I took out the box and needed some advice. They were still there and I had some advice on how to tackle this problem of mine. This is for sure the spindle should be fixed and not spinnig around.

I sure hope somene will buy them and their production continues.

Treating the old girl to a well deserved set of slicks as the 8 year old Michelins are, simply knackered.

Re: Escort Sigma 1600 Race Car

Ok, so the spindle movement and oil leak sorted with the box. Today wrapping the wheels in new rubber I spotted this.
In a brand new unused tyre.

                    Anyone know whats that?

Thats now sorted too (on sunday) thanks to an unbelievable Yokohama importer.

There were problems reported with some trackday tyres cracking if used in cold temperatures. Perhaps they were stored badly?

Re: Escort Sigma 1600 Race Car

Thats correct. At least thats what the Yokohama rep said. This tyre was most propably the bottom tyre of a large pile and as it got freezing it cracked.

Re: Escort Sigma 1600 Race Car

                              Thanks mate.
The darn SL72 box still found a way to produce a tiny leak. Tbh I'm quite dissapointed to Tran -X. Poor quality for a hand built flag ship box and quite unaccurate technical support. If any SL72 experts are reading any insight would be appreciated. But I'll know more when I'll dismantle the box. But other than that the weekend was quite good seeing I was beaten only by an 2.0XE and a 2.0 Cosworth built duratec. I was infact leading the race briefly after the start but just could not hold the big blocks back.
But the best thing is everything held together and now theres nothing to be repaired. I can even live with the tiny oil leak in the box, It only seems to leak while driving so it wont mess me garage floor =)

Oh , I did find out my right hand front shock was all out of puff but I'll count that as an improvement rather than repair. And I need a 24mm antiroll bar. An improvement as well
