No Neil i will be in class E ,they have amalgamated the old class D and E
I reckon you'll be in D unless they clarify this : "if an engine fitted is not an original fitment or manufacturer’s option for the make and model of car the car
shall move up a class" GM didn't fit a 16v engine to a Nova ;-)
"Doesnt really matter as the car wont be ready for this year anyhow ,does it not say heads are free like last years regs Nick?"
No,just says that non production and motorcycle heads put the car up a class,it no longer states that the block must be original. You've still got three months to get the car ready

Its only me working on the car in my spare time Nick and as i am no pro everything takes twice as long ,i was busting my arse to get it out this year thinking i was in class E but will scale back my efforts now and take my time ,maybe save up and build a stonking 1800 8 valve and get the sequential box that i would really like

That was my thinking, but it sounds like its not that clear cut.
Would be a shame if you dont make it out this season, you and the car are very impressive to watch. I can totally understand the pressure of prepping a car though, its hard to find the time sometimes.
Just seen the nova, big respect to Jezz he's done some lovely work on it
If it improves the car anymore , handling wise this is gonna be one serious
Car that's going to do some more giant killing ... Well done mate
Well as Ant has broken cover ,here are a few pics i have been busting my arse to weld the shell up ,i take 3 times as long as someone who knows what they are doing but i have very limited tools and facilitys so i have to just do my best .The welding is not pretty but i have tried to make sure that it is strong
Hopefully all the bits should help stiffen it up and the revised steering and seating position should make it a bit easier to drive
