Its going normal full fat bubbles Nick, not the zakspeed type like the other yellow one though

What's next? Pinto power? Seriously I hope it works out ok and the effort in changing the shell is worth it
Will mine be the only narrow arched mk1 out there I ask myself (narrow car,wide driver).

if needs be a std narrow one works just fine on a duplex, sure it wont last 100,000 miles but we found they would do a season or two in a A6 cammed rally car

Heres a few picks from yesterdays marathon rebuild. The usual team of Gary, the Pipes and myself were helped by Anglia Ant and Cossie Matt

Gary marking out the first cuts on the rear



Cut made and no rot found so everythings nice and neat bar a little filler.



Front cut out ready to try a bubble in place. (at least escort mk1 wings aren't worth a lot these days )



Rear inner infill section being laid in, probably the trickiest bit.



All cut out and its time to try the shiny 9x15s with their new avon crossplys



A rear inner finished and trimmed up, just dusted over with primer for now. Note the rivnuts in place to hold the arches on nicely
