tyres, they are actually made for the now defunct in the uk seat cupra cup championship, they are a slightly different size to my old ones 245/650/18 as opposed to 250/640/18, i could of had my old size in a softer compound but these were much cheaper as dunlop now have loads thay they have no market for.

dunlop say they are about 1.5 compounds softer than my old ones, the seats they are intended for have about 50bhp more than me and also weigh about 80kgs more, so on the face of it they are going to be a little hard for my car, until you take into account i need them to do 5 meetings which is 5 practises and 10 races, seat only use them for one race!
they use exactly the same tyres out in spain were they will last a 45minute race but are only fit for scrap afterwards but then again it is very very hot ot there,

so all in all dunlop recon they will do the job, i hope so

Sorry about your news graham, a good spend up on the car always does a world of good though, besides when you are out there winning race after race with the new tyres the pit babes will be queuing up for you

Are the new tyres any taller or are we only talking a couple of mm?

only a couple of mm dave the diameter is 10mm more which should make sod all difference

they are purple vauxhall 220 cc/min, which when you have 8 equils a lot of fuel if needed
