    doh! sorry!

got to say that was the funniest thing i've seen in ages. still makes me chuckle. lovely car so that's a shame, but couldn't have happened to a nicer guy by the sounds of it!

set your own car on fire due to pushing someone off then bail out only to get hit as the car rolls back down the hill...

I think that if I was doing Snetterton aswell as Brands I'd have had to get some new rubber on it, but for the sake of one meeting that might not even be dry i'll leave them on and get new ones for the beginning of next season

well atleast the detritus the trucks leave wont affect the longevity of the tyres too much

Re: DW's (new?) Sierra N/A PINTO race car

In preparation for the last meeing at Brands we had another look at the spot lamps on the car. Despite putting them under the bumper we decided that they still wouldn't be bright enough for Brands, where the last race often looks more like a night race if the weather turns nasty.

Good old halfords had a set of driving lamps that are big enough to act as headlamps within the rules and are also made out of crappy plastic, so they are quite lightweight.

Fitting these behind the tinted perspex covers would still have been a waste of time so we also made up some clear covers which won't reduce the brightness but will stop the lamps getting smashed, which is easily possible and you only need to look at the state of the paint on the front of the car if you need proof

We also fitted mesh over the spot lamp holes in the bumper.

Anyway I think the results look alright and people should certainly see me in their mirrors now
